2011: A Remarkable Year on My Writer’s Journey
This has been a remarkable year for me as a writer.
2011 saw the publication of two of my novels — MONOGAMY SUCKS and DEAR HEF — and a paranormal erotica story Swinging with the Supernatural that was included in the Lazy Day Publishing print anthology INDULGENCE: Tales of the Cirque Romani.

However, the year started in a much darker place with me receiving hostile indifference toward my novel MONOGAMY SUCKS from some critics and readers. Yet through steady persistence of promoting my books in social media and in the mainstream press, I have been able to overcome a lot resistance to the explicit nature of my work.
MONOGAMY SUCKS continues to perform well in the Amazon Kindle sales rankings consistently placing in the top 50,000 out of 800,000 books. My others books are also slowly finding an audience.
I make no apologies. Frankly, I don’t write for the faint of heart. I try to depict sex without the rose colored glasses typical of mainstream erotica. I call it real life erotica with all the messy parts left in.
I must admit I do revel going into other areas that many other writers avoid — male sexual insecurity, disappointing swinging and casual sex encounters, the limitations of monogamy and traditional relationships, the honest truth about the swinging lifestyle, and how the Internet distorts our sex and romantic lives. I try keep things humorous as means to engage my readers as I delve into thorny and uncomfortable issues.
Still, each day it seems I find new readers who embrace my vision. That support is priceless for a writer, and so rewarding when you can find it.
I will have more to offer in 2012 as I am half way through writing the sequel to MONOGAMY SUCKS which I hope to finish by this summer or fall. It will be just as sexy and controversial as its predecessor.
Take a chance on my three books. You will not be disappointed. You might even enjoy yourself and find out something about how other people live.
Isn’t that why we read novels in the first place?
Happy New Year to all my readers, supporters and fellow authors, writers, bloggers, poets, artists, musicians, filmmakers and songwriters.

TOP 20 Ranked Lazy Day Publishing E-books On Kindle for 6/17
Starting this week I am creating a new Top 20 Amazon Kindle sales ranking list for Lazy Day Publishing’s books to give everyone a better idea which books are consistently selling well.
George Pappas’ novel Monogamy Sucks is Lazy Day Publishing’s top-selling author this week taking over the No. 1 for the first time since the list was created on February 25.
This was only the second time in the past 17 weeks that Alta Hensley’s novel Traditional Love has not been the list’s No. 1 book she finished at No. 2. Her novel has topped the list 15 out of the last 17 weeks.
The erotica anthology Deep in the Heat of Texas by Alta Hensley, Melissa Hensley and Amy LeBlanc maintained the No. 3 spot.
Liz Borino once again scored two novels in the top 10 with her novel Expectations at No. 4 and novel What Money Can’t Buy, the sequel to Expectations, at No. 8.
Ava Riley’s A Lifetime to Find Love moved back into the Top 5 at No. 5.
Elaine Dyer also placed two novels in the Top 10 with Mindset and Finding the Missing Pieces at No. 6 and No. 9 respectively.
Rae Spencer’s novel Beyond A Proposition stayed in the top 10 at No. 7.
A ‘Jeeper’ Wade’s novel Refired also remained in the Top 10 at the No. 10 spot.
Once again, this is not a definitive list as it doesn’t include e-books sales from Barnes & Noble.com and other Internet retail sites. You can also check out the Lazy Day Publishing site to see the full listing of its 26 releases.
I intend to update these Amazon sales rankings of Lazy Day authors every week to track how our books are doing. Please feel free to share these rankings on other blogs or on your own blogs and Web sites, and on Twitter and Facebook.
You should click on the links below and buy the books from all of these talent authors. You will love their work.

It doesn’t Suck: Check out the Rave reviews for novel “Monogamy Sucks”
After a rocky start, my novel Monogamy Sucks is finally receiving the critical support from readers and fellow writers I had always hoped for.
My novel is a wild and frank journey into the sexual male mind and swinging lifestyle. I pull no punches and leave nothing out. I call it real life erotica or reality fiction. Finally, I feel readers are embracing the intent and vision of my novel — to explore the male sexual psyche in an honest and realistic manner and write about subjects many authors unfortunately avoid. Or as author Alta Hensley put in her excellent review of my novel — it is “Tucker Max meets Sex in the City.” That’s a pretty accurate description of my novel.
Yet readers are expressing their affinity for my character Jake Dalmas and his emotional journey. It is more than I ever could have dreamed.
My novel is provocative, funny and well worth the trouble. If you don’t want to take my word for it, see what the reviewers are saying.
Here’s what they are saying on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/4hl5arx
In addition, a number of fellow writers LM Stull, Eden Baylee, Sammy Sutton, Susie Kline and others have raved about my book and penned intriguing reviews.
Here are links to those reviews:

You can also check out my page on Good Reads for additional reviews from authors Eden Baylee, Kimberly Kinrade and others.
Stephanie Overton also reviewed my book for her blog My Guilty Pleasures.
I didn’t pay them to say all these great things about my book. They support what I was trying to achieve with my novel — an honest look at sex, monogamy and relationships, and they enjoyed my raw and humorous writing style.
My book has only been out a little over five months, and I am very excited for my prospects for finding new readers. I recently participated in the Indie Book Collective’s Blog Tour de Force and I can’t recommend it enough for authors who want to connect with readers and also fellow authors and reviewers.
My novel is the #11 ranked Erotica novel on all of Amazon Kindle and my book is consistently ranked in the top 100,000 out of more 800,000 e-books on Kindle. Take a chance on my novel. You will not regret it.

Amazon Sales Rankings for Lazy Day Publishing Books thru March 18
Check out the updated Amazon sales rankings for Lazy Day Publishing’s books through today March 18.
For the fourth straight week, author Alta Hensley, has taken the two top spots on the list with her novel Traditional Love and as part of the anthology Deep in the Heat of Texas with fellow authors Melissa Ecker and Amy LeBlanc. This is also the fourth consecutive week Deep in the Heat of Texas has taken the No. 2 spot on the list.
Several other novels on the list also made impressive showings this week.
George Pappas’ novel Monogamy Sucks jumped seven spots to the No. 4 position on the list.
Liz Borino’s novel Expectations moved eight rankings to the No. 5 spot.
Elaine Dyer’s Forever Summer maintained the No. 3 spot for the second straight week, and her novel Mindset stayed in the top 10 maintaining the No. 8 ranking.
Ash Sterling’s novels Seduction of Honey and Pocketful of Spells moved back into the top 10 of the list at the No. 6 and No. 7 spots, respectively.
Thomas Drinkard’s novel Piety and Murder moved three spots into the No. 9 spot.
Once again, this is not a definitive list as it doesn’t include e-books sales from Barnes & Noble.com and other Internet retail sites.
I intend to update these Amazon sales rankings of Lazy Day authors every week or two to track how our books are doing. Please feel free to share these rankings on other blogs or on your own blogs and Web sites, and on Twitter and Facebook.
