Lazy Day Publishing Unveils Hot and Sexy Cover for its Upcoming Print Anthology INDULGENCE: Tales of the Cirque Romani coming out on Oct. 19
Today Lazy Day Publishing unveiled its cool cover for their upcoming print anthology INDULGENCE: Tales of the Cirque Romani being released Oct 19.
As you can see at the top of this post, it’s a hot, sexy and unique cover that captures the intriguing aspects of the book featuring 10 Lazy Day authors, including myself writing sexy stories of paranormal erotica about a fictional Carnival troupe — Cirque Romani.
My story entitled “Swinging with the Supernatural” answers the question what happens when a swinger, lady sword swallower and a lady midget sword swallower meet. This story is my first attempt at writing paranormal erotica. I really enjoyed it as it reminded me of the Science Fiction and Fantasy stories I used to write when I was younger. It is a hot read you don’t want to miss as are all the stories that ask for your INDULGENCE.

Coming To A Theater Near U? Lazy Day Publishing Delivers Intriguing,Cinematic Cover for Novel “Monogamy Sucks”
It was with great dread that I greeted a recent e-mail with final cover art for my novel Monogamy Sucks from publisher Lazy Day Publishing (@lazydaypub on Twitter).
Although I was given a great deal of input from my publisher about how I envisioned my book cover, I still worried about the final result.
I had learned the hard way from my disastrous cover for my first self-published novel Letters from Cyberspace (published through iUniverse) how important a professional, attractive cover is in drawing readers, and respect from the media and industry peers. Even now almost 10 years later, I cringe when I see that cover. It failed miserably to reflect my novel’s content, specifically my female protagonist’s provocative and erotic Internet adventures.
However, from the moment I opened the document containing my cover art, I was stunned, overjoyed and delighted with what Lazy Day Publishing had come up with for Monogamy Sucks. They perfectly captured my book with a cover that is classy, sexy, erotic and provocative without being crass or over the top sexually.
Everything from the sexy figures in silhouette (hinting at the book’s themes of swinging, exploring erotic boundaries beyond monogamy) to the wonderful gold and white title and subtitle lettering and soft black background, is designed to entice the reader into taking an intriguing journey with my novel’s protagonist Jake Dalmas.
Honestly, my first reaction was this cover resembles a sexy movie poster for a film I would like to see. Not surprising considering my obsession with films, but I’ll save that for a future post.
In fact, my book cover also reminds me of some of the sexy erotic art Playboy has used through the years. And we know one thing about Playboy — they exude class.
I am struck with how much my publisher listened to my suggestions for not only I wanted, but also for what I didn’t want. I suggested they look at interesting covers for books I admired such as Bret Easton Ellis’ Imperial Bedrooms, and the recent classy updated covers for Henry Miller’s and Anais Nin’s novels. They took my advice seriously and didn’t treat me like just another writer that knows nothing about graphic art and the overall importance and impact of book covers. I’ve heard from other writers through the years that this is not always the case in the industry.
Lazy Day Publishing has taken this same care it devoted toward delivering a knockout cover for my book with all of its authors. Go to www.lazydaypub.com to check out the beautiful, amazing covers that Lazy Day Publishing has unveiled for upcoming books from fellow authors Amy le Blanc, Alta Hensley and Jack Hessey. Also take a look at the author’s list to find out the rest of the amazing, talented writers in the growing Lazy Day family.
In less than two months, all of our works will be available as e-books as part of the Lazy Day Publishing launch on Dec. 1.
I can’t wait to see to see the reaction of readers, book industry peers and the media to our books. I believe we’ll shake up the industry in more ways than one.
These are books that thankfully CAN be judged by its beautiful covers.
All I know is I have a book cover that I am more than proud of and a publisher who supports and understands my novel’s vision and how to bring it to life in the best possible manner. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
